Stephen Winkler, MD

Dr. Stephen Winkler, also known as Dr. Steve, started his training at Northwestern in general surgery then went on to the Krieger Eye Institute in Baltimore where he completed his ophthalmology residency and served as the chief resident.

He next completed residency training in ophthalmology and furthered his training by completing a 2-year ASOPRS-approved Oculofacial Plastic Surgery Fellowship. His ASOPRS thesis on oculofacial anthrax and reconstruction following these devastating infections provides insight on this rare entity.

Dr. Steve has a passion for all oculofacial surgery and provides reconstructive expertise for eyelid, orbit and periorbital issues.

He enjoys making music, cycling, snowboarding, cooking and spending time with his wife, son and two cats.
